FASHION COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE Y2K BUG IN THE YEAR 2000

Computer crash events occurred in 1999 to 2000 known as The Millennium Bug or Y2k Bug. At that time the writing of the year on the computer system was only written the last two digits of the year and caused the change from 1999 to 2000 to damage the system. This event was used as an inspiration in the creation of this fashion collection. The title of this collection is “Fallacy” which means ‘a mistaken belief’ or ‘an error’. This collection consists of 3 ready-to-wear and 2 artwear with an edgy style and a futuristic grunge look. The materials used are varied, such as jaquard, ribs knit, organza and baby terry. These materials are suitable for use indoors or outdoors which could be worn in the day to night. The manufacturing process also uses several techniques such as overlock sewing, manipulating fabric ripping, embroidery and knitting. The clothes in this collection have unique looks that suitable for use in various entertainment events such as tv shows, commercials, music shows or movies.

Peristiwa kerusakan komputer terjadi di tahun 1999 menuju 2000 yang dikenal sebagai The Millenium Bug atau Y2k Bug. Saat itu penulisan tahun pada sistem komputer yang hanya dituliskan dua digit belakang tahun dan menyebabkan pergantian 1999 menuju 2000 merusak sistem. Peristiwa ini dijadikan inspirasi dalam pembuatan koleksi busana ini. Judul dari koleksi ini adalah “Fallacy” yang berarti kekeliruan. Koleksi ini terdiri dari 3 busana siap pakai (ready to wear) dan 2 busana seni (artwear) dengan style edgy dan look grunge futuristik. Bahan yang digunakan beragam seperti jaquard, ribs knit, organza dan baby terry. Bahan-bahan tersebut cocok digunakan di dalam ruangan atau luar ruangan yang sejuk seperti saat sore menuju malam. Proses pembuatan juga menggunakan beberapa teknik seperti jahit overlock, neci, manipulating fabric ripping, menyulam dan merajut. Busana dalam koleksi ini memiliki tampilan yang unik yang cocok dipakai diberbagai acara hiburan seperti acara tv, iklan, acara musik atau film.
