SMARTPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY UNTUK KERAJINAN BATIK KAYU DESA WISATA KREBET YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

The products offered from wooden batik crafts in Krebet Village are very diverse, including puppets, masks, pencil cases, cutting boards, tissue holders, key chains, bracelets, necklaces and others. This community service discusses the introduction of smartphone photography to the craftsmen of the Krebet Tourism Village, Sendangsari, Pajangan, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The planning process was carried out for 5 months, starting from determining the title, survey, implementation to reporting the results of community service. This activity was carried out on Wednesday 22 February 2023 at 10.00-12.00 WIB, in the form of sharing knowledge directly with craftsmen. The material presented by presenters Tri Handayani and Rotua Magdalena Pardede adapted to the needs of the Krebet Village Wood Batik craftsmen so that they did not only focus on how to photograph wooden batik products with smartphones, but also provided material on marketing strategies, using social media such as WhatsApp and Instagram, as well as packaging techniques that match the aesthetics and composition of the product. Considering that the majority of participants who attended the smartphone photography training activities were elderly, the material was made lighter. It is hoped that craftsmen can photograph their products independently and simply by applying the material presented by the presenters so that partner businesses can develop sustainably. Because in a product photo that looks attractive can convince consumers to buy.
